What I do

I have just completed my final year studying Fine Art at Canterbury Christ Church University.  Work predominantly as a printmaker, but also with both acrylic and watercolour paints, I mostly focus on responding to social concerns.

How I do it

The human form is often explored in my work.  I do this through life drawing, painting and a variety of printing methods.

My main techniques in print include lino cuts, polychromatic prints, etching and collagraph, but I enjoy experimenting to find other ways to create artwork.

Where I live

I am currently living and working in Hertfordshire, England.  The city of Canterbury, England, where I studied, has inspired previous projects, especially due to the surrounding nature of the Garden County of England.

Painting

Painting is wonderful, although this does not make up the majority of my practice.  I enjoy painting in acrylic and watercolour as I feel they compliment the prints that I create well, whilst making their own statement.

Printmaking

My speciality lies in printmaking and am familiar with many techniques. These include polychromatic printing, lino printing, hardground etching, softground etching, collagraph, screen printing, aquatint, paper cut and chine collé.  I am enthusiastic about learning new techniques, and refining the ones I already know.
