Utopia and Dystopia
In my second year of university, I looked at the idea of Utopia, but in a non-conventional way. Focusing on the origin of the word “no place”, I looked at how a utopia would be created. In order for a place to be a “no place” what is already there must be destroyed.
Drawing inspiration from Second World War Propaganda, I have looked at the inequality and sexism portrayed in the works, and interpreted them in a modern context. I also looked at the romanticism of war and satirised it.
